PROJECT: TDOT ON-CALL CEI CONTRACT
CLIENT: Tennessee Department of Transportation
Vaughn & Melton was selected by the City of Greeneville for construction engineering inspection, materials testing and surveying for the Fairgrounds Connector Road project. This is the second phase of the project connects the first phase located behind Tusculum View Elementary with Snapps Ferry Road. Construction management services were completed in accordance to TDOT’s Local Government Guidelines.
Vaughn & Melton’s CEI responsibilities included verifications for field measurements, field book entry, computations, materials, test reports, payroll compliance, and DBE compliance as well as data entry and other related duties.
Brad Peters, City of Greeneville Engineer, has expressed much satisfaction with V&M’s reporting capabilities for the project.
“Mr. Roe has done an outstanding job as the CEI Inspector on our project. Being a former TDOT employee, I am familiar with the State’s specifications and procedures, and Tony is as well versed on them as anyone I have worked with. He maintains such a level of communication with me that I am able to stay up to date on the project, while still being able to attend to my duties as Town Engineer. I would not hesitate to use Tony and Vaughn & Melton as CEI consultants on other construction project.”
