Danl Hall returns to Kentucky

Vaughn & Melton Consulting Engineers has appointed a new leader to oversee operations at its Lexington KY office. Danl Hall, Regional Vice President for the KY/TN Region has relocated back to his Kentucky roots to manage the operations at the Lexington KY office for Vaughn & Melton Consulting Engineers, Inc.


Danl brought a long history of public office service to V&M when he began his career at Vaughn & Melton Consulting Engineers, Inc. in 2008 after serving as Chief District Engineer for the KY Transportation Cabinet as well as Construction and Operations Engineer for District 12, in Pikeville, KY. Danl was also Commissioner of Public Works for the Pike County Fiscal Court from 1994 to 1998.


Danl assumes this new role, previously held by James Ballinger, the current State Highway Engineer for KYTC, in addition to his duties as Regional Vice President as a part of a strategic realignment for V&M's Tennessee/Kentucky area. Hall states,

Danl graduated with an Bachelor of Science of Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky. He is a member of the Tennessee Association of Professional Surveyors, National Society of Professional Engineers and recently served as a Board Member for the American Council of Engineering Companies of Tennessee.


Danl's move into the office lead in Lexington is part of an organizational restructuring for Vaughn & Melton, which was announced internally on July 27. The Lexington office has 9 employees. The firm offers multiple engineering services including transportation and structure design, construction engineering and inspection, civil design, water resource design and management, surveying and geographic information systems, drone services, right-of-way acquisition, public relations for large-scale improvement projects and subsurface utility engineering and management.
